saphalamee yaatra

preamble: The title of the post (which means "this journey is successful") is from a malayalam poem - http://malayalam-kavithakal.blogspot.in/2011/05/saphalamee-yathra-by-n-n-kakkadu-with.html . I do not claim to understand the inner meanings of that poem, neither do I claim to mean this post in a philosophical sense about my life itself (though, well, at this point if my my life ceases, I could perhaps say that phrase) ... This post is just about "journeys" - places I have seen

I am not counting a "stop-over" in an airport or "passing by in a train without getting down" as "seen". Driving thru in a car are counted - because invariably I would stop to see something or other

In Kerala: Of the 14 districts, I think the only ones left are Kollam and Pathanamthitta. so 12/14 .. Have gone through these two districts also in train...

In India: Out of the 29 states (delhi not counted), Kerala, TN, Karnataka, AP, Telengana, Goa, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Haryana, HP, UP, Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland - 15/29 . Out of the UTs , Delhi and Pondichery - 2/7 .

(In other words, whats left are Guj,MP,Ori,WB,Chatt,Jha,Bih,UK,Pun,JK,Arunach,Mani,Trip,Sik ;
Daman-Diu,Dadra,Andam,Laksh,Chand .... train/flight go-though includes MP & WB also)

Outside India - 1 "city state" (Vatican) and 9 countries .. almost "west to east" --> in the order I visited, they are US, Canada, Italy/Germ/Swiss/Fra, UAE, SGP, Thailand.

US:  DC + 20/50 - FL,GA,SC,NC,VA,WV,MD,DE,PA,NJ,NY,OH,KY,IN,MI,IL,TX,AZ,NV,CA

As of 09/09/2019 , two more countries added to the list ( Malaysia and Australia) and completed the pending Kollam district ( Kollam beach, Thenmala, .. and Coutralam in TN too). Did pass by Pathanamthitta, Kozhanchery, Aranmula etc in bus, but then, remembered that I have been to Sabarimala about 20 years back :-) .. so Pathanamithitta was already covered, and now Kollam is also covered.. so all districts of Kerala done, about 55 days before turning 40 :-)
